The Three Billy Goats Gruff

April 13, 2015, 0 Comments

Would the goats that eat almost anything now risk their lives for the sake of survival?

When a severe drought threatened the very survival of the three billy goats, they began to look afar where the grass seemed to be greener. Armed with a plan, they made a decision to face the dreadful danger that lies beneath the bridge. Would they survive or would they not?

This brilliantly written broadway style musical captivates hearts of the young and the young-at-heart with catchy tune that my boys would still sing days after the show. “The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence…” does not seemed to ring true for the goats. As the story goes, what looks good may not be that great at the end of the day, as the goats almost fall prey to the trick that troll uses to lure his prey.

Expect lots of dance moves as the three Billy Goats, “Baby”, “Middle”, “Big”, trip trap their way everywhere, donning tap shoes, no less, as the trio belted out fun and catchy songs one after another.

It is educational. It is fun. Little Bo-Frilly, their caretaker, a little girl who loves frilly things tells us that goats are herbivores , have four stomachs and are browsers. A scene of “Baby” goat tearing up a page from a big book of research, and then gobbled it up was a case in point.

Join the three Billy Goats and the charming little Bo-Frilly as they set off on a adventure with one thing on their mind. With a little bit of ingenuity and courage, the three Billy Goats managed to cross the bridge as they finally realised that the grass on the other side was not … real. The cunning troll had it painted a shade of green as green as the grass. Thanks to Little Bo-Frilly, she discovered the secret to overcoming the troll. And so at sunrise, the last Billy Goat was sent across the bridge. He fought valiantly and the troll turned into stone at the crack of dawn as the sun shone on him.

Don’t miss a musical that is filled with suspense and funny moments!  Audience were encouraged to clap along while the goats trip trap its way to a happy ending.
